Just look at that sea! Gently sloping fields offer spectacular sea views from all points leading to the South West Coastal Footpath / Heritage Trail and a path leads down to our three nearest quiet sandy coves.
Our eight mobile homes are positioned on the highest point of the campsite with stunning views of the sea and countryside, sleep up to 10. Each has three bedrooms, one double and two twin (one adaptable to double) plus one bunk. The lounge area also adapts to provide a spacious double bed. The kitchen is fully equipped and leads onto a dining/lounge area with colour television. They all have double glazing and electric heating. They are comfy all year round and ideal for out of season breaks.
We have a number of basic touring vans for hire on site as a self-catering option, available for visitors looking for a low cost alternative to camping. Visitors need to bring all usual camping equipment, minus the tent. A gas hob and kettle are provided.
Each pitch is approximately 14 sq m with 13 amp electrical hook up if required. Water taps are regularly spaced, close to the pitches. Cars can be parked next to your tent / caravan or in the designated parking areas.
A 1926 Eccles caravan is available to rent on site. 'Tehidy' belongs to a local chap who hopes others will enjoy and add to its history.
For those walking the South West Coast path, we can provide backpacker pitches throughout the year – we are right on the coastpath – two local pubs provide good food and tasty beverages!
The wedding field – the perfect location for a great celebration. We provide an unbeatable backdrop for your ceremony and reception as well as accommodation for friends and family. Call us to discuss our experience, your requirements and the thousands of permutations.
Pets are welcome on site and in certain mobile homes, under close control and a poop scoop policy operates in all areas. Certain local beaches are dog friendly.
We have braziers for you to borrow on condition that you buy logs from us and that you keep a bucket of water by the fire in case of unlikely emergencies - and elect a fire warden amongst you. Do book these early to save disappointment as we are permitted only a limited number of fires.
You are welcome to have barbecues but kindly place them off the grass on the bricks provided and ask where to put the ashes.
We are planning a fire pit for 2009 where you can sit and enjoy a campfire and night-time social (Treloan is after all one of the friendliest of campsites!).
Storytellers and musicians often stay at the site so perhaps even bring your instruments.
What can the kids do.... we have chickens, rabbits, ferrets and fan-tails (soon pigs and goats) and they all get fed twice a day with help from the children. They are welcome to handle all the animals with a member of our campsite team. Obviously please remind your chidren to wash their hand after touching the animals at our children's washing up sink. The kids washing up sink is also there for them to help mum and dad wash the dishes - sorry kids!
